Winter Skin Care!

Hi, this evening I have my Winter Skin Care products I am currently using to share with all you lovely ladies.

Plus what I use as a base before I apply makeup. So lets get started as I've got a lot of
products to get through here!

Lets start with the Clarisonic on the right, now I've had this for about a year and half, I used it loads when I first got it but then it needed a new brush and at £25, I did just put it in a draw and forget about it, oops! But recently I bought two replacement brush heads for it when they were on offer from Debenhams. So I have been using it again, maybe twice a week in the evenings. I always take off my eye make-up with a cotton pad first then I have been using the Clarisonic with Simple foaming cleanser (which I will do a separate post on) which just gives my skin that extra deep scrub.

Another face product I use a couple of times a week, just to change things up, is the Face Polish- Scrubatomic by Soap and glory. This is the first tube of this I have ever bought and I was sooo happy with everything about this product- it smells amazing, the scrub bits are small and so not to harsh on my skin but really do make my skin glow after using it. It makes me feel like my face is super smooth and clean so I will be re-purchasing this one!

Next is a new purchase - Emma Hardie Amazing face. I bought this as I've had my eyes on it for a long time now and it was in the sale at Debenhams so I thought I would give it a try. When I first opened this, I was so surprised at the smell, its such a luxerious deep smell, I don't know what I was expecting but this smells gorgeous. I love putting this on as a face mask and having a relax in the bath. The fragrance lasts a long time which nice as its quite a calming scent.  As you can see from the picture below, I haven't used that much out of the pot and I've had it for two weeks, so you really don't need much of it on your face. It comes with a face cloth, which is soo soft, gentle and fluffy on one side and a muslin cloth on the other side, which is perfect around my T zone. It's a real treat to use this.

Moving on to moisturisers- In the Winter I am always on the look out for a richer one that will keep my skin hydrated and protected against the freezing cold air, wind and then the warm stuffy central heating inside. It's quite a balancing act in the winter I find, to get the right product that copes with the dramatic changes. First up a little mention to my all time favourite eye cream - Kiehl's Under eye treatment. (Pictured middle-ish on top photo!) If you have slightly dry under eye areas or dark circles,  you need to get this product in your life, I honestly don't know what I did without it! I always put it on last thing at night to leave it to soak in a bit.

Now I have been thinking of buying this next product since it first came out, its the- Clinique -dramatically different moisturising lotion +. I bought the gel Moisture surge (Long drink for your skin one!) over summer, which was a fabulous product and really suited my skin. However, over winter I fancied trying a lotion just to give my skin that extra moisture, so I got the Clinique Lotion pictured below. Now, I have got to say, when I first used this product, I was slightly dissapointed and Im not too sure why to be honest. I don't know if it's simply because it's a lotion and I don't find it as great to put on as the gel. I think it may of been the smell to it putting me off, it does smell a bit weird to me, if anyone else has tried it let me know what you think because I do feel like it's a love / hate relationship! The positives- it does really keep my skin in great condition and I do think it helps keep my makeup, cakey free, a problem I find gets worse over winter. For me I don't think I would buy it again as I found the gel one so much nicer, but for now it is apart of my routine and it works which is the main thing (even if it does smell odd...!)

Porefessional! - Benefit. There has been so much written on this product already and most of you reading have probably already got it. I just wanted to add it in here as I haven't actually tried it before now. It really does help my makeup stay on longer and closes those pores up. I only use a tiny amount after moisturising to cover fine lines and pores around my nose so it's well worth the pennies.

Now if you get nothing else but this next product, then do it! Its the Clarins BB Perfecting Cream. Pictured on the left of the top photo. Again I bought this from Debenhams in the sale! This product is just one of those miricle products I want to instantly share with you all. Its basically a light foundation and a moisturiser together which is just a dream to put on. The light coverage is enough to cover blemishes and to create a healthy natural look. I then just use a concealer on spots and a little on those horrible dark circles and thats my base done, yeay! I love this product as it goes on so quickly when I'm in a rush in the mornings and looks great.

Phew, that was a long post so well done if you read all that! As ever, thank you for visiting my blog and please take a look at my other posts.

Party Nails!

I think i must be very very late to the sparkly nail products out there, i just didn't think they would work and be to hard to put on. Well, all that has changed! I found these in boots and as the Colour Show ones were on 3 for 2 i thought why not. I sometimes get very frustrated with nail varnish, I'm not the best at putting it on and it annoys me when a brand new nail varnish is (technical term...) 'Gloopy' and streaky. Just why make nail varnish like that?! grrr. Anyway, the two barry M varnishes, although being two very different colours are fantastic, one coat and thats all i need. It dries really quick and nicely. The almost gel finish means they are super strong and with a good top coat last 4 or 5 days without a chip (amazing for me). The colour shows are basically clear nail varnishes with small sequins in- but! - it is soooo effective i am surprised how good and easy to put on these are. My favourite has got to be the purple, white and blue one over the red barry M.

Please tell me whats currently your favourite nail varnish in the comment box below and thanks for reading. I feel like i am finally getting back into blogging, which makes me so happy =D

Festive candles and decorations

Hi! I thought i would share with you what above the fire looks like! I just couldn't resist the little fox on the right, he was £3 from The Range. The white stag and tea light house was from Wilkos for £8 each. The house reminded me of the home button on my blog, so i just had to get it! The big candle in the middle i bought last year from Next for £10, it has three wicks which i like as it burns evenly. The little candle is the latest purchase, it came in a set of yankee candles which are all christmas scents. It just looks so cute and smell lovely.

Thank you for reading, let me know which is your favourite from the above!

New Sofas!

Hi there! We waited ages and ages for the sofas to arrive, we got two, they look the same just ones a smidgin smaller so i just thought i would show you the bigger 3 seater (Declan was sitting on the other one anyway and i didn't think he would appreciate being moved or having a close up!)

Ive forgotten what its called, but its on the homepage of Sofa works. I went with the grey as it goes very nicely in our red lounge and if we did want to change the colour it wouldn't clash.

The floor lamp was from B&Q for £79 in the sale, i love this lamp, it has so much style.

The throw was from Dunelm for under £10 and its so soft and snuggly, perfect for chilly evenings. The yellow cushions were also from Dunelm for under £8 each, they feel really good quality for the price, i just love this colour to go with the grey sofas. The other cushions i bought from John Lewis and i actually bought these before we ordered the sofa i loved them so much! They were more expensive but I'm hoping they will last for a long time as they are feather ones. The furry one is just a great size to make me sit up straight when I'm on my Mac for hours, like i am now!

I hope you like it, we have waited a long time to have a sofa that is new so I'm so very happy with them.

Thanks for reading, do share your links below and i'll go take look!

Christmas Makeup

Excuse the paleness, i took this last night before i went to bed so my face is a little shiny... i just wanted to share what I've been obsessed for most of the last month!

First things first... eyeshadow, i picked this up from boots. Its from lovely L'oreal, these shades are perfect for this time of year when i like to wear a little sparkle. Its so easy to blend the shades to create that smoky sparkle eye that everyone wants! I do find i need to add quite a lot on to build it up but once its on it really stays. Ive been wearing it in the day time too with just the darker shades and the highlighter shade.
Ive never bought the Kate lipsticks before, but i thought i would give them ago since I've heard amazing things about them. I have mixed feelings on this one to be honest, don't get me wrong i still really like it-its a fantastic strong colour and moisturising on the lips so i don't need anything on top too. But, i don't know whether its just me been cack handed but i cannot for the life of me get this to stay on my lips! It ends up everywhere! It just smudges too easily and i would be worried about having a Miranda face issue if i was to wear it on a night out...which is a shame as do love this colour. Have you tried it? Let me know if you have!
Apocalips! Now, i have fallen in love with this. Its another product i have been meaning to try but just haven't got around to buying it. Its quite thick in consistancy which i think makes it easy to put on- a quick swoop of this and your lips transform. Its a beautiful colour and matches the Kate lip stick so i have been adding this on top to add that extra shiny. I have a weakness for lip products especially red ones! I was a bit worried it may look a bit much with it been quite dark but... i like it a lot. I will probably buy another shade, do any of you have a favourite?

Thanks so much for reading and please leave a comment.

Christmas Tree Decorations

Evening lovelies, this year i decided we needed a theme for the christmas tree decorations. So after searching many many shops, yesterday i think I've found some cute ones. Mostly, i think the theme is woodland creatures, with a bit of red and silver. Which isn't really a theme is it?! Looks nice though!

We popped to The Range today, haven't been there before as the closet shop is about 40 mins away, but i found it great for cheap decorations. Everything was a couple of pounds each in there...went a bit crazy on the cute animals didn't i...

A couple of things were from Dunelm, the deer i think was, the set of dotty ball balls and hearts. Very similar decorations are in Wilkos which is where i bought the battery lights from at £3! Bargain. Smiles all round. I just need to get some chocolate coins.

I can't wait for Christmas!

Thanks for reading, please don't forget to add me on twitter and leave a comment if you'd like to.
